What are Lead and Groove?
What are Lead and Groove?
Lead and Groove are an evolution of Guitar and Bass gameplay.
Lead consists of the instruments most prominently heard leading the melody. This is typically Guitar, but may also be keys, synths, or horns, for example.
Think of Groove in the same way as Lead, but for the backing track - the parts that build the rhythm of the song. This is most often bass, but may also be rhythm guitar, keys, synths, or others.
This gives us more freedom to place notes to the most interesting thing happening at any given moment in a song.
